There are times when you wonder if a bad day can get any worse then you find a little shred of hope, to make a wee bit better. It’s all good now, you and the squad enjoying each other’s company in a nice green scenery, that being the Botanical Gardens. After leaving our beds early, no breakfast and packed up with equipment to be set up.
Yup, set up… did I mention NO BREAKFAST.
Though it is upsetting, we waited a while, maybe these people would
decide to show and it was a Sunday after all not many places were open. Our
second agenda for the day, Poutinôis
does not open until 5pm. Poutine is a Canadian dish that’s made with
French fries and cheese curds vegetarian gravy. This is new thing in Trinidad
and Tobago and I was revving to try it.
Lunchtime
approached and humankind was hungry. Made a move to Those Guys Diner, to our
surprise the place was filled. We seated ourselves and not a server attended to
us, which is horrible because I made eye contact with one. Ten minutes passed
and we are yet to be greeted, let alone receive a menu.
I had to pick myself proceed
to the register collect menus. OK we know what we’ll be having you would figure
that one of them would come take our order. Nope I had to go back to place the
orders. Other than the poor customer
service, this being my second visit the food was still good.
