My hopes came through, thank the gods. We ventured back to
Kaizan to celebrate Jin’s birth which
was also an opportunity to expand my palate.
Today was a spree, glee plus hunger and plain greedy. Our intentions to have celebratory eating turned into this... There is one roll missing in the picture because we simply could not wait any longer, hunger had set in long ago. Believe it or not I can't remember what is was.
The one fork in the picture is because I am chopsticks handicapped.
More Sake.......
Maguro Sashimi: Yellow fin tuna.
Yes, yes, I have tasted it, raw fish and I loved it.
TNT Dynamite: A combination of crab, cucumber, avocado, sesame seeds, flying fish roe and dynamite sauce.
Volcano Roll: Crispy and creamy roll filled with kani crab, salmon skin, cream cheese, dipped in tempura batter and fried. Dressed with unagi, dynamite and sriracha and sprinkled with chives, tempura flakes and white sesame seeds.
Mango Tango: Spicy tuna, tempura flakes, mango, cucumber, tobiko, ginger and red pepper.
Maguro Special: Tuna, avocado, cream cheese and sesame seeds.
Introduced to me by Janelle an alternative to me not eating the Wasabi. I think it’s way too intense hence I usually just well, don’t eat it. Her solution, dilute the wasabi in the soy sauce, genius!!
For those with the same problem as I, you should try this.
